Prevention and health screening

What this is about

Prevention here means a planned review of heart, circulation, metabolism and exercise capacity — not only when symptoms already dominate. The aim is to identify risks early and to prioritise measures that fit your situation.

Check-up and "blood tuning"

Are you under high performance pressure every day?

To meet those demands, you need not only stable health but also optimal physical and mental performance. Demanding preventive care therefore means aiming for "optimal values", not only "normal values". One of the best-known pioneers of blood tuning is Dr. Ulrich Strunz, who is no longer in clinical practice. We continue his philosophy and have added important parameters that should not be missing today.

We offer a comprehensive prevention check-up in our practice. Without waiting times, Dr. Hierl examines you thoroughly. He performs or supervises all examinations himself. This keeps the standard consistently high, everything remains in one physician's hands, and nothing is lost in communication. We take particular care to complete your check-up in the shortest possible time so you do not lose time. Please let us advise you on which examinations are appropriate for you and how much time to allow.

Who the appointment is for

Typical reasons include a family history of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, raised blood lipids, diabetes, long-term smoking, high occupational strain, or a structured check before the age of 40, 50 or 60. People already seen by a GP may still want a cardiology review.

How it runs

We first clarify symptoms, past conditions, medication and circumstances, then examine you. Laboratory tests, ECG, blood pressure and ultrasound are assembled according to medical need, not as a rigid package. Dr. Hierl performs or supervises the core examinations so that findings stay in one pair of hands.

What to expect

You receive an interpretation of the findings and concrete next steps: observation, further diagnostics or treatment. Time and cost depend on scope and are discussed in advance. Statutory insurers often reimburse extended screening only in part or not at all; private tariffs follow the contract.
