ECG / rhythm check
ECG / Cardisiography
Is my ECG abnormal? Is the skipped heartbeat I sometimes feel dangerous?
Heart rhythm disorders are common, but they are not always harmless. Recognising the risk and distinguishing the type of arrhythmia requires substantial clinical experience. We are also in contact with a well-known rhythm centre and can offer you that extra certainty.
At the private practice Am Kosttor 1 we also offer a high-resolution specialist ECG: Cardisiography is the first examination that reliably detects heart disease with the help of artificial intelligence. It provides an effective check-up of your heart – simply, quickly and precisely.
When to book this check
Common reasons are palpitations, a skipping pulse, dizziness, unexplained syncope, an abnormal previous ECG, or follow-up of a known rhythm disorder.
Which methods may be used
The standard is a 12-lead resting ECG. If that is not enough, Holter monitoring, an exercise test or cardisiography (high-resolution 3D ECG) at the Kosttor practice may follow. The choice depends on symptoms and prior findings, not on a fixed package.
What should be clarified
The aim is classification: harmless extra beats, atrial fibrillation that needs treatment, or another disorder. Not every irregularity is dangerous — and a single “normal” ECG does not exclude a rare episode. The discussion of daily life, medication and next steps is part of the visit.
